fuyu roll-ups

We love dried fruit. And at this time of year, that orange almost menace, it's the fruit that's like zucchini in the summertime. There's a lot of persimmons in Sonoma County. Oh my gosh, how many times has somebody said, "Please take some." Well, Fuyu persimmons are the ones that are really wonderful, just like an apple, just sliced in a salad.
And if they're done carefully, I just want to encourage people to try dried persimmons that are dried to be be like what fruit roll-ups wish they were. They are so flavorful and tender and delicious. And folks, if you buy them at the farmers' market, you're extending the value of farming for a farmer. And surprisingly or not, they are great on a cheese and charcuterie platter.
